A few weeks ago, I posted the trailer for Tyler Perry's new film, A Family That Preys and I initially ignored a bothersome aspect of the trailer, an aspect that is sadly prevalent in almost all of Tyler Perry's films.
I don't know who it is, what poll was taken or what lost bet determined it was a good idea for the black male leads in Tyler Perry films to wear these atrocious, Astroturf naplet wigs made of Berber carpet fiber.
All I ask is WHY?!!
Tyler Perry wearing something from the Bookman From Good Times Collection™
I'm side-eying that ish too.
The usually bald Boris Kodjoe had to ease up on his beauty and rock this old Bernie Mac fro wig.
And who can forget Shemar Moore playing a reformed thuglet with dried out cornrolls in Diary of a Mad Black Woman?
