I didn't care when I found out Eliot Spitzer was bankrolling hoes.
I don't care that David Vitter has done the same.
I don't care that Bill Clinton had a chick on the side.
I didn't blink when Joe Scarborough's mistress was found dead.
I rolled my eyes when Gary Condit's other woman was reported missing.
I don't care about Jim McGreevey's sexual preference.
I don't care that Larry Craig likes it in reverse airport restrooms.
Why do they (whoever they are) think everyone cares about the sex lives of politicians? And given the examples above, why is it a big shock whenever the same story, tacked onto a different politician, surfaces?
New York Governor Paterson Admits To Affair
[New York Daily News]
I'm so angry at this photo!
"In a stunning revelation, both Paterson, 53, and his wife, Michelle, 46, acknowledged in a joint interview they each had intimate relationships with others during a rocky period in their marriage several years ago."
He and his wife both had their trysts, they worked out their problems and they're still together. End of story.
But that's just how I see things.
So if you don't mind, pick your position and finish this sentence:
As long as they __________________ I want to know about the sex lives of my politicians.
As long as they ________________ I don't want to know about the sex lives of my politicians.
