There's no doubt that you've already heard about New York governor Eliot Spitzer's recent foibles involving a prostitution ring. Governor Spitzer is the latest in a long line of public figures who, when they are are exposed for whatever reason (usually for cheating on their wives), give some sort of publicized apology to all the people they've wronged and every time, without variation, they are accompanied by their "caring and understanding" spouses right by their side.
I wonder what makes them do it.
I don't question why they stay in their relationships (because they always do and I've given up on wondering). I wonder why would they put themselves on display like that.
Why would the wives of these disgraced public figures bother with trying to make it look as if they are supportive of their dumbass husband? Do you pity these women and what they're going through?
It's something to realize that the men are either whores or were secretly gay.
