You're Gonna Make It After All!

Kelly Knowland is still roaming the earth trying to find her purpose. Now, she's looking to Dr. Seuss for some direction by writing a children's book.

Kelly Rowland is working on a new project that has nothing to do with singing: writing a children's book.

"I'm getting into different ventures. I'm in the process of writing a children's book," the Destiny's Child singer told PEOPLE backstage after performing at the VIP room in Cannes Friday night.

The untitled book is still in the early stages. "Everything is confidential right now, but I'm really excited because I've talked to some different publishing companies and got some people interested," she added.

Rowland says her five godchildren are the reason she's decided to write in between working on her new record. "I love my god-kids," she says. "I love kids!"

Didn't she run off her last man? Calm that type of enthusiasm down a thousandth.

Don't worry about Kells, she'll find her special purpose someday. In the meantime, I have a suggested title for your her piece of work:

"Daddy Has Another Family" by Kelly Rowland, foreword by Matthew Knowles

That one is on the house, no payment of royalties necessary.

Seriously though, I admire Kelly. Everyone can't recognize their shortcomings and try their luck at something new *cough*Hillary*cough*. Because I know for myself, if stalking had a payroll department, I'd do that all day every day.

Speaking of the hydrants that keep the streets on, your grandma's young friend Michelle Williams has a new video out, check it out here. I didn't watch it all because I couldn't get past "Everything's is gon' be alrite" at :17. Maybe you'll have better luck.
