Where did you grow up and where are you living now?
Born and raised in Alabama, currently residing in Clinton, Mississippi

Would you consider living somewhere other than the south?
Yeah, but not too far up North, sorry but wearing coats 8 months out of the year is not appealing.

Besides chatting up on MS all day, what type work do you do?
I oversee the cleanup of gasoline spills and leaks.

Do you have any hobbies?
Games, TV, Window Shopping, & I've recently started to dabble in cooking

Are you single or married? Any children (including pets)?
I'm married with 2 of my husband's clones. We also have 2 dogs: Blu & Cuba

Did you dream last night? If yes, what was it about?
I did. I had a dream that my BFF was trying to kill me and I shot her like 8 times...

You do like your friend, right?
I love her to death!!! LOL!! She's been my BFF since 9th Grade.

What do you fear?
Something terrible happening to my babies

Where do you want to be in 6 years?
Having my own successful business, and running it from the office in my home that's sitting on 40 acres of land.
What type of business?
Umm, there so many:
A Courier Service, more like a transportation company for those who can't or won't take madea to the store, doctor, etc. or
A male Strip Club called Peter's or
An adult entertainment center called "Party Palace" that has strippers, sells the Slumber Party thingys, etc. or
A Man Spa (barbershop, mani & pedi, facials, bar, TV's, PS3's, etc.)


Where were you last night and what were you doing?
I was at home cooking dinner, playing nursemaid & playing with the babies.

When I heard hubby was in an accident

If you could eat one last meal, what would it be?
My step-mom's Dressing, catfish, shrimp & grits, "Hot Now" Krispy Kremes, Salad from the Olive Garden, a Lobster Pizza & Some Sweet Tea from the Chinese buffet.

No, but a pillow and a blanket will be nice...BUUUURRRRPPP!!

Community Relations.....a bunch of writing and event planning and promotion..really I just delegate everything to my intern. lol

Did you dream last night? If yes, what was it about?

For some reason I keep dreaming that I am in public places and topless and not particularly embarressed about it.

What do you fear?

Dying alone, or death or sickness of loved ones

hmmm, married with a child, living somewhere in Europe making music and getting paid for it

Where were you last night and what were you doing?

Supporting my homegirl at her first solo show. She was FABULOUS!

When is the last time you cried?

I cry at everything. Many times I laugh so hard I cry on MS in particular! I also get emotionally touched sometimes and just tear up...

If you could eat one last meal, what would it be?

I'd need a Thanksgiving meal. Turkey, cornbread dressing, candy yams, greens, garlic mashed potatoes and a chocolate chip cheescake with chocolate coating for dessert.

If you were stranded on a deserted Island, which book and music CD would you like to have?

lol the Bible, otherwise I'd prolly get depressed and try to off myself. I would need a mix cd of all my favorite music. One artists cd wouldn't do.

I still have horrible stage fright to this day.

Where did you grow up and where are you living now?
I was born in Lawrence, KS but turned 1 year old in Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria. I came back to the U.S. at the age of 9 and I’ve been living in Kansas City, MO (boooooooooooo).


Besides chatting up on MS all day, what type work do you do?
I am the CRM Administrator for a software company.


Do you have any hobbies?
I love shopping, reading, watching films, blogging and eating out (is that a hobby?).


Are you single or married? Any children (including pets)?
I’m SINGLE and have been for 25 years. I have one white furry dog name Milo.




What do you fear?
Failure, being poor, drowning, suffocating, and the list could go on and on.


Where do you want to be in 6 years?
Married with 1 child and a thriving career as the head of Visual and Product Marketing for a huge fashion house (I won’t get there being in KC, I gots to go). If not that, I want a career doing something that I love that affords my family and I to live comfortably.


Where were you last night and what were you doing?
I went to the gym than met up with friends for happy hour (I know, defeats the purpose of going to the gym but hey I burn some calories to make room for the tron margaritas and nachos)

When is the last time you cried?
Last week while watching Malcolm X. Everything makes me cry.


If you could eat one last meal, what would it be?
Garlic chicken and Phad Thai from my fav Thai restaurant, fried chicken and catfish from Peachtree restaurant, my sister’s potato casserole, some iyan to dip in my mom’s soup and okra and some jollof rice. (What? It is my last meal, no need to count calories.)



If you were stranded on a deserted Island, which book and music CD would you like to have?
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, I loved that CD. I would find a way to sneak a Bey or DC album in. F it, I grabbing my iPod. I don’t go anywhere w/o my Bible.


Is there anything about you that might surprise people?
4 out of 5 chicks I’ve called my BFF have decided they wanted to become lesbians but one of them has found Jesus and is back “straight.” I am 100% strickly dickly so I don’t know why this kept happening. I use to have a hard time dealing with it b/c I thought it was something wrong with me or something I was doing but now that I I know more of their history with men, I see why.

This weekend I had the opportunity to meet Gail, Heidi, and Kris! We met at Den in Harlem. I just want to say that all of the ladies are as beautiful in person as they are in their photos. It is so funny to me that even though we'd never met, I instantly felt a level of comfort that I usually only experience with my closest friends....So I guess the innanets aren't the debil all the time...lol. Anyway, I was a little under the weather so I had to call it an early evening but I will be back and ready to party in a few months!!!

Where did you grow up and where are you living now?
I grew up on the south side of Chicago, and after traveling all over the place:

Milton Keynes, Bucks UK;
Chamblee & Decatur, GA;
Littleton (Denver Tech Center), CO;
Billerica, MA;
El Paso, TX;
Raleigh/Durham (Research Triangle Park), NC;

San Jose, CA;
Schererville, IN;
Dallas, TX; and
Cypress, CA
as a software consultant, happily, wearily and, most of all, FINALLY! came back home.

Besides chatting up on MS all day, what type work do you do?
I’m an IT Consultant, specializing in Database Management (Oracle 11g Administrator and MCITP: Database Administrator Certified); Systems Analysis, Design & Coding; Web Design & Development; and PC Repair (A+ Certified).

Do you have any hobbies?
Playing keyboards (Fender Rhodes piano, Moog, Roland, Yamaha synthesizers) and bass guitar (Kramer V, Gibson Ripper). The core members of my band, ‘Universal Love’, have been together since Sophomore year of high school.



Note: Suga and Twizz, hit us up… we’re ready to do sump’in. We have our own MIDI/Analog studio complete with a dedicated Rain Quad Core PC and AutoTune, not that y’all would need the latter. [no T-Pain]. LOL
Sports, (viewing, participating, & not so much betting);
Favorites: NFL and ATP and WTA Tennis (before Venus and Serena)
Woodworking; and of course,

Are you single or married? Any children (including pets)?
Single with a grown son. Any pets I had died prematurely, so I chose not to put ‘em thru that, anymore. They were simple animals like turtles, goldfish and sea monkeys… not anything loveable. Anyhow, there’s enough wildlife in my backyard that can feed their own selves, and if I get hungry enough, I can trap and gut one of ‘em.




Did you dream last night? If yes, what was it about?
I don’t remember if or what. I usually remember ‘em as soon as I wake up, but will forget, if they’re not worth remembering.

What do you fear?
Drowning. My heart goes out to the 3 NFL players missing off Florida. I don’t do water I can’t stand up in, so a cruise is out of the question for the MnG. You see what happened to Gilligan an’em.

Where do you want to be in 6 years?
In life: Doing what I’m doing now and living comfortably.
Geographically: Somewhere with good and varied food choices. Somewhere in South America like Brazil or Venezuela.

Where were you last night and what were you doing?
At home watching Serena whoop up on some Russian ass at the Aussie Open.

Direct.

When is the last time you cried?
At my father’s funeral.

If you could eat one last meal, what would it be?
King crab legs w/rice pilaf and marinated zucchini, garlic crab roasted w/smoked sausage, potatoes, and corn-on the-cob, and a Bake and Shark from Shelly’s homeland.

It started with a simple request: Stop talking so loud on your cellphone.
But what happened next in a Borough Park bodega nearly put the woman who made the request in the hospital - with bruises to her body, coffee burns to her face and stiletto-heel injuries to her legs, police said yesterday
The victim, whose name is being withheld, was standing in line Wednesday morning at the store on Ditmas Avenue near McDonald Avenue, paying for her purchases, when Berta Rakhamimov, 21, started blabbing away on her cellphone.
The victim asked Rakhamimov to lower her voice, then walked outside. But Rakhamimov came after her, spurring a yapper-versus-scolder battle of epic proportions, police said.
First, the yapper pushed the scolder with two hands to the chest. Then the yapper threw her newly purchased coffee into the scolder's face, police said.
The yapper allegedly started boxing the scalded scolder, biting her on the finger and kicking her thigh with her high heels.
When the shaken woman said she would notify the police - and pulled out her own cellphone to make the call - Rakhamimov ran toward a bus that had just pulled into the nearby stop, police said.
The victim shouted to the bus driver not to let Rakhamimov on the bus, and Rakhamimov then fled down the stairs to a nearby subway station. The victim gave chase.
When police arrived, the victim pointed out Rakhamimov, and the cops told the conductor to hold the train.
Rakhamimov was arrested on charges of assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon - the coffee, not the cellphone.

AT THE MOVIES: COMING ATTRACTIONS

This week's At the movies was going to focus on "Madea Goes to Jail" and "Not Easily Broken," but I think that if you've seen one Madea movie/play, you've seen them all and Thank YaMo for online digital copies!!! "Not Easily Broken" was a pretty good movie, so I suggest that you pick up a digital copy or borrow one!!

Anyway, I was watching the "The Big Tease" on the Reelz channel. The Big Tease is a show that features trailers for upcoming movies. The show featured a trailer for a movie entitled "American Violet," which really grasped my attention, so I thought I would share.
