If You Don't Know By Now...
How to act WHEN obama wins...
They'll be watching us on November 5th (the day after the election) for signs of the end times. To keep the peace and keep a lot of folks
from getting nervous, I think we should develop a list of acceptable celebrations and behaviors we should probably avoid - at least for the first few
days:
1) No crying, hugging or shouting "Thank you Lord" - at least not in public
2) No high-fives - at least not unless the area is clear and there are no witnesses
3) No laughing at the McCain/Palin supporters
4) No calling in sick on November 5th. They'll get nervous if too many of us don't show up.
5) We're allowed to give each other knowing winks or nods in passing. Just try to keep from grinning too hard.

6. No singing loudly, We've come this Far By Faith it will be acceptable to hum softly)
7. No bringing of barbecue ribs or fried chicken for lunch in the company lunchroom for at least a week no chittlings at all) this may make us seem too ethnic)
8. No leaving kool-aid packages at the water fountain this might be a sign that poor folks might be getting a break through)
9. No Cupid Shuffle during breaks this could indicate a little too much excitement)
10. Please no Moving on Up music we are going to try to remain humble)

11. Men and some women, please refrain from growing your hair out or cutting it to look like Obama's haircut. They already say we look alike. We don't need to have Obama sightings at the Strip club or your family reunion.
12. Please do not go out and commit any crimes thinking that you r c uz'n Barack will pardon you.

They tried really hard to jack many aspects from the Obama campaign by promising to work for the people and bringing change.
Um, ain't the Republicans the one that are running shit? Beginning in 1992 when led by Newt Gingrich, they overhauled congress and implemented that bullshit Contract With America passing laws, blocking vetoes and impeaching the Democratic president and for the last 8 years with a monkey with a stick as the leader of this country?
If everything is so honky dory with Republicans at the helm, why in the hell do we need John McCain and Peggy Hill to ride in and bring change to Wharrishington? (that's just how that fool McCain pronounces 'Washington'.)

I meant to post this Monday or something. Me bado.
Please believe this chick Bristol Palin is NOT pregnant as of September 1, 2008 when that pregnancy confession broke.
In a matter of hours, the rumors that were floating around Alaska floated down to the rest of us about Sarah Palin's 17 year-old pregnancy. Sarah Palin suggests she was pregnant and gave birth to a child with Down's Syndrome in April 2008. When blogs began to put the puzzle pieces together with archival footage of Palin in her supposed pregnant state against those of her 17 year-old daughter at the time, well what do you know...the Palins give a story Monday morning stating that Bristol, their 17 year-old daughter is currently 5 months pregnant and plans to marry the babydaddy.
Let me tell you how this saga will play out in the next few weeks:
Already, the McCain campaign state that they already knew about Bristol Palin's pregnancy and chose her to be on the presidential ticket anyway. Sarah Palin will be obtuse about the issue and continue to state that she's proud of her daughter, proud of her decision to make a family and that she and her husband are happy to become grandparents.
A few weeks will pass through the election cycle. A few weeks before election day November 2nd, before Bristol and the babydaddy are supposed to tie the knot, there will be an announcement that Bristol Palin has miscarried, thus no reason to wed. Republicans will troll every fucking where for sympathy and demean anyone who had anything negative to say about the Palin saga before and making it difficult to criticize her as a candidate later because she just lost a grandchild and is in mourning.
The Repugs are playing this too cool. Republicans never have any record to run on, but they are masters at manipulating the emotions of the voting public. They have their marching orders and are ready to shower the McCain/Palin ticket with sympathy for their "terrible loss".
Not our business? Why is this personal family issue being discussed, you ask.
Why the Palin teenage pregnancy story is fair game:
Sarah Palin is strickly pro-life. Palin is steadfastly against a woman's right to choose, even in cases of rape or incest. Palin only supports abortion when a doctor finds that a pregnancy endangers the life of a woman. This is very interesting when it's stated that Palin's daughter in fact did have a choice in this matter and decided to keep the child and marry the babydaddy (albeit with a shotgun to her back) as opposed to exploring other options (and you know it wasn't adoption).
Sarah Palin is against medically-based sexual health education in school. Palin believes that public funds should not be dedicated for such a purpose. Palin is only in favor of abstinence only education in schools, opting to tell kids to keep in their pants until marriage.
Um, yeah.
I'm willing on betting the house on this exact story playing out in the next few weeks.
And another thing:

Fox News Calls Michelle Obama "Obama's Baby Bama"
An alert reader wrote in just a little while ago to let us know about something he'd spotted on Fox News Wednesday afternoon. During a segment discussing conservative attacks against Michelle Obama, the wife of presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama, the network described the former as "Obama's baby mama."
I checked, and sure enough, as you can see below, our e-mailer was right. In fact, that description was displayed on screen several times during the segment, which featured anchor Megyn Kelly and conservative blogger Michelle Malkin, an FNC contributor.
A clip of the segment in its entirety is below. You may notice that at one point, Malkin says, "By the way, it's not just Republicans who are criticizing some of her comments, but also statements have been made in the left-leaning blog Salon about her comments." I've searched the site, and I can't find anything like what Malkin is talking about. My guess is that she's referring to Vincent Rossmeier's earlier post in this space, which was about attacks on Michelle Obama and was not critical of her, but did mention Malkin. I've e-mailed Malkin asking for clarification -- if and when she responds, I'll update this post.
