Someone Needs An Intervention

When you try to buy friends, you get stuck with the bill.

Kelly Rowland didn't know about that tidbit of common knowledge. Rowland is taking her new found popularity in Europe to extravagant heights. She'd better stop tripping. Those Dark and Lovely checks are few and far in between now.

Kelly Rowland spent almost £200,000 on a night out.

The former Destiny’s Child singer racked up a £196,230 [approx. $292,563.86 US Dollars] bar bill on guests - including U2 frontman Bono - at Amika’s Weekend Takeover in St. Tropez, France, on Friday (08.08.08).

A source revealed: “Kelly was the ultimate host and even when the bar bill began to spiral out of control she didn’t close the tab.

“At one point Kelly started dancing and put on a silly hat, which made everyone laugh.

“Bono arrived quite late and Kelly told him to order whatever he wanted.”

The 10-hour drinking session saw 30 revellers drink 50 magnums of vintage Dom Perignon champagne, costing £3,000 each, 24 bottles of tequila at £490 each and 10 bottles of £2,000 cognac.

St. Tropez is a favourite holiday destination of many stars.

As well as Kelly and Bono, ‘Closer’ singer Ne-Yo and supermodel Naomi Campbell have been seen holidaying there in recent weeks. [Source]
